Full-Time Billing Specialist position available in the Houma office

This full-time position requires an individual to lead the billing process for Home and Community Based Services Programs/Medicaid and non-Medicaid billing process in our Houma Regional Office. This position is responsible for entering service data, billing, and maintaining multiple electronic database systems for the Houma Region. This position is also responsible for the tracking and resolution of billing denials and errors for the Houma office. The Billing Specialist also performs other general clerical and payroll related duties as needed.

This position requires a high school diploma and a minimum of two years -Medicaid billing experience. Some college and three years of Medicaid Waiver and clerical/accounting work experience are desired. Requires a strong clerical background especially computer skills (Office programs, including MS Excel and MS Word). Excellent data entry skills required. This position requires an individual with versatility, diligence, attentiveness, and eagerness to improve existing operations. The ability to handle multiple responsibilities with accuracy, organizational skills, communication skills and the ability to accept direction from a supervisor are required.
